Dining At The Rockwood Hotel

A mouth-watering array of fresh produce from the Aomori region is offered throughout the different seasons, with the chef selecting only the freshest ingredients for all dishes.

The all-day Rockwood Bistro offers a variety of Western and Japanese dishes with the view of the Tsugaru Strait and the Sea of Japan. For those who want to try a wide variety of dishes or looking to fill their appetites after a day of activities can stop by Rockwood Hall, where a full buffet spread with 40 dishes can be sampled. Iwaki Cafe and Bar offers lighter dishes during the day and then becomes the place to sample a variety of beers, cocktails, single malt whiskies and even rare tequilas and rums.

The Rockwood Bistro

The all-day dining option offering a range of both Japanese and Western dishes served ala carte, including a Sushi Moriawase platter of fresh local seafood from around Aomori– showcasing some specialties such as squid, fresh scallop, sea urchin and crabs. At the same time you can find a juicy 300g ribeye steak cooked to perfection and paired with a diverse drinks selection covering wines from Burgundy to local sakes from around the Tohoku region.
– Lunch: 11:00 to 14:00
– Dinner: 17:30 to 21:00

The Rockwood Hall

At Rockwood Hall, guests are able to sample a multitude of delectable food offerings. From seasonal products of Aomori to a selection of international dishes, there are over 40 items to choose from. Round off your meal with a trio of sake samplers or an ice cold pint of Asahi beer.

Iwaki Café & Bar

An accessible all-day dining option with smaller bites such as sandwiches and other snacks for all ages. If you’ve just checked in or finished a morning round of golf, fresh coffee, juices and soft drinks await. Those looking for a place to have a few beverages with friends and family will find all your standard drinks fare, along with a carefully curated selection of craft beer, single malt whisky from Scotland and Japan, as well as a variety of unique bottlings of other spirits like tequila and rum. Those who fancy something a little unique, will find the perfect blend within the wide range of hand crafted cocktails that are also available.
– Cafe: 10:00 to 17:00
– Bar: 17:00 to 23:00

The King’s Inn

Named in honour of the late, great Arnold Palmer (designer of the Aomori Spring Golf Course), the King’s Inn is located adjacent to the clubhouse. Guests dining at the terrace area of the King’s Inn can enjoy a view of the golf course and the scenic Tsugaru Strait. Be it having a coffee in the morning before heading out to play, or sampling our popular tempura set meal, the King’s Inn has something for every palate. Chinese and Italian dishes are also available.
